General

The complete Innox IVA Bridge is an all-in-one lighting truss constructed by two lighting stands and a pair of 1.5-metre truss sections. Built for suspending a small lighting rig, this neat and multi-functional system can also be set-up to suspend a backdrop, banner or projection screen as needed. A unique feature of the IVA Bridge, considering the price, is that it comes fitted with safety pins for a completely secure set-up, and provides a solid base that can be expanded on with ease.

The Parts of the IVA Bridge

The IVA Bridge is essentially made up of six components that are easily assembled; take up little space once packed down; and in terms of set-up, offer maximum flexibility while taking up no more floor space than that of two lighting stands. The stands are fitted with safety pins and conveniently mounted with T-bars, while the two included truss sections are easily coupled. It's really that simple, and definitely effective.

The Construction

Besides six central components the pack includes a number of metal couplers that complete the smart construction of this bridge. The vertical coupler guarantees safe, solid connection between the two truss sections while the double coupling system of the vertical stands ensures that both the top and bottom of the truss section can be perfectly secured. All of the couplers are tightened using the two included allen wrenches, so it can be put together more efficiently by two people. The fittings are just as easily loosened and simply slide free of the lighting stands to pack back down, making things just as manageable as they are mobile, and for a more paired down rig, the lighting stands can of course just be set up on their own.

Building the Bridge

Don't be intimidated by the large number of parts in the box. While a lot of nuts and bolts are included, not all of them are required for putting the bridge together, but are thoughtfully provided for mounting your lighting fixtures. The mains struts of the truss sections are both finished with pre-drilled holes for mounting or suspending fixtures, and G-hooks can also be used as preferred since most 35mm compatible hooks will fit with no problem. Two T-bars are also part of this package, fitted with a special adapter that allows you to mount them on the vertical stand tube. An extendable coupler can be used to make one side longer than the other, so that the T-bar mounts can be angled to point, say a pin spot, at a mirror ball suspended from the middle of the bridge, so you can even build yourself the ultimate dancefloor rig without having to construct anything over-complicated.

Load Capacity

While this lighting bridge can't exactly accommodate the average festival rig, it can definitely serve as a great system for touring DJs and bands, or pub and small club dance floors. Four LED PARs, two scanners, and some smaller lighting effects can be installed with ease, which is usually more than enough for most shows and events. And, if you're ambitions get bigger over time, you can easily upgrade the system. The IVA Bridge can also be set up to suspend a backdrop, a projector screen, curtains or other decorative applications.
