General

Carving out the middle ground between a steel-strung and nylon-strung model, the hybrid design of the J.N Guitars Oloroso electro-acoustic classical guitar has the snug feel of an Auditorium body, which isn't just more compact and comfortable but delivers big sonic projection. The 23.4 inch scale length is also a touch shorter than that of an average classical guitar, pushing the frets closer together and speeding up fret-reach, while the narrowed 48 millimetre wide bone nut still provides enough space to grip complex chords and figures. Meanwhile, the sapele build and rosewood fretboard combine to shape tonal depth, warmth and articulation, and since the Oloroso OLO-CE also features a built-in preamp and pickup system complete with three-band EQ controls and a noise-countering phase switch, it can be played amplified as well as unplugged.
