General

The MXR M87 Bass Compressor is an incredibly expansive and yet very compact compressor for bass guitars. It is also suitable for electric guitars. Thanks to the five knobs, you can control the volume in ways you may have previously deemed impossible. Subtly suppress the peaks of the bass sound or comprise the entire sound into a small package. Moreover, the Constant Headroom Technology ensures great headroom and a clear sound. MXR crammed their transparent sound in its tried-and-trusted rugged housing, so this white stomp box is sure to last you a long time.

The versatile M87 Bass Compressor

You can set the M87 Bass Compressor with the familiar compression controls: ratio (level of compression), attack (start of the compression) and release (end). Furthermore, you can compensate the decrease in volume with the output knob, while the clever clear LED meter shows you the amount of compression. Switch the true hardwire bypass pedal off and you won’t lose any of the high frequencies or volume. Connect an optional adapter to supply the pedal with power or use a 9V battery.
