General

It's difficult to put into words what the Ottobit Jr. from Meris can do. As the brand puts it: "audio in, video game out." The design of this pedal is inspired by vintage game consoles and retro-style bit music. Hook it up and you can summon all kinds of typical gaming sounds using your guitar. It's essentially a filter effect but with more possibilities, including a bit crusher, stutter and the option to create seamless sequences using chords or single notes. If you're impressed with the Ottobit but can't play guitar, you're in luck because it's also compatible with bass guitars, synthesizers, drum computers and other line-level instruments.

The Ottobit Jr: All The Trimmings

After you plug it in for the first time, it can take some time to find that perfect, possibly nostalgia-inducing effect but, once you get to know the Ottobit a little better, the pace will pick up from there.
