General

The 2nd generation of the 4-string Sire Marcus Miller V7 with an alder body has also received upgrades in some key areas. As a result, you now get even more value for your money than with the already equitable 1st series. For instance, you now have access to 2 new Marcus Super-J Revolution singlecoils. The magnets of these pickups have been specially treated to approximate the sound of vintage pickups with a thicker Formvar winding. By the way, the electronics with Heritage-3 18V preamp still allow you to send active as well as passive sounds to your amp. The Middle also still has that handy stacked potentiometer, where you can boost or cut the frequency in the range of 80 to 2000 Hertz.

Marcus Miller V7 2nd Gen 4-String: more playing comfort, tone and stability

In terms of playing comfort, you'll also notice a few things about the maple neck of this Sire bass. Although the profile still has that comfortable C-shape, the fingerboard radius has been made slightly flatter in this further development of this Sire Marcus Miller signature. This 9.5-inch radius and the larger medium frets make playing fast runs a lot easier. The finely rounded Edgeless fingerboard on this V7 2nd Gen 4-String also adds significantly to your playing pleasure. The Marcus Miller Modern - S bridge and Premium Open Gear tuning machines of this V7 bass guitar also offer you stable tuning plus more accurate intonation.
