General

The LA30BL is a guitar amp head from the Black Country Customs line. This tube top is based on Laney's 1968 LA100BL amplifier design. Although a prototype of this original 100 Watter was played by riffmeister Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath at the time, it unfortunately never went into production. This new version is great for today's guitarist. It gives you that full vintage sound with that strong British midrange character, but at a power of 30 watts. So you get that sought-after warm tube sound, but at a volume that also remains manageable for the ears of those around you.

LA30BL: devilish sounds from the Black Country

Not only do you have the look and characteristic sound of this classic amp type, but also the layout and that simplicity exudes that sixties and seventies vibe. With just 2 switches (power, standby) and 5 rotary knobs (presence, gain, 3-band equaliser), you have just enough to quickly shape your sound with this Laney amp top and then be able to fully focus on rocking. Whether you opt for the LA30BL's bass or treble inputs, of course, depends on where you want to put the accent of your guitar sound.
