General

It's already a bit in the name: the 19-inch Sabian AAX X-Plosion Crash is a hugely explosive crash. This is due to its slightly thin cymbal top and brilliant finish. Despite the explosiveness, this cymbal is far from one-sided. The bell has a raw finish and provides a nice dose of gritty low end. As a result, the sound doesn't get boring even when you use the crash as a rhythm cymbal. Still, the sound is overwhelmingly bright.

AAX X-Plosion Crash in balance

To ensure that that bright sound and that gritty low go together nicely, Sabian has come up with something: the 'Autofocus Response' technology. This treatment balances all frequencies of the cymbal, making it sound as one. It also removes annoying overtones, regardless of your playing strength.
