The CE44 Celebrity Elite Mid Depth is part of Ovation's Celebrity Collection. Kept nicely affordable, this contemporary-looking and effortlessly-playable electro-acoustic guitar is fully built for the stage and features a special Round-Back made of a dark synthetic material which, in combination with the solid sitka spruce soundboard and the multi-sound hole design, results in a bright sound that's as powerful and robust as the construction that helps to shape it.

The CE44: Transparent Trebles, Focused Lows and a Clear Amplified Sound

While the 10"-radiussed ovangkol fretboard and satin-gloss-coated mahogany neck provide access all the way up to the high E-string at the 23rd fret, the solid top of the CE44 takes care of a full, rich and sustain-heavy acoustic sound, while the different sized sound holes are there to give you more transparent trebles and extra-focussed lows. Hook up your favourite acoustic amp and the acoustic sound is accurately amplified by the CP-100 piezo pickup and OP-4CT preamp combo which comes with a volume control, a 3-band EQ and a built-in tuner - flawless live sound guaranteed.

Wrote the following about Ovation CE44-5 Celebrity Elite Mid Depth Black Electro-Acoustic Guitar

I recently purchased this guitar, and while it looked absolutely stunning, I found the body was just a little too deep for me to play comfortably.
So, back it went to Bax Music, and I ordered the ultra-slim version instead. I'm so glad I did! It feels much more comfortable to play, and I think it looks even better too.
