The latest addition to IK Multimedia's range of ingenious bits of kit, the ToneX One mini-pedal is essentially an amp modeller and USB-C audio interface in one. A trimmed-down version of the ToneX Pedal, the ToneX One features the same renowned Advanced AI Machine Modeling™ technology and caters for modern guitarists who want to keep their setup compact yet fully adaptable. This powerful little stompbox allows you to save and call up as many as twenty presets, and serves up a whopping 212 different amplifier load-outs with or without reverb, noise-gate, EQ and compression.

Plug Into Your Amp, PA System or FRFR Cab

The IK Multimedia ToneX One can be set up in various ways. It can be combined with a laptop and used as a USB audio interface in combination with the ToneX (SE) software; connected to a tube amplifier and pedalboard rig for eased toggling between amp channels, amp models and effects; or simply set up as a modeller plugged into an FRFR speaker cabinet for some big air displacement and the most realistic playing experience. The choice is all yours.

Always-Saved Function

Thanks to the Always Saved function, you'll never lose any edits again. As soon as you tweak a setting, your current preset is immediately saved, which is great for quick on-the-fly preset adjustments in the middle of a gig. There's also a Safe Mode that prevents you from accidentally changing a setting while you're playing, and the ToneX pedal features a Global Cabinet Bypass function so you can turn off the internal cabinets at the push of a button to load custom IRs or blast your sound through your own FRFR cab. Fantastic piece of kit! I use it alongside my pedalboard for gigs where a silent stage is required. i've also used it for gigs with lots of stairs as it's much easier to carry than an amp 😆

I agree with others that the software for the Tonex 1 is not the easiest to navigate. However the sounds that can be squeezed from this little beast are excellent. It competes well with my Kemper and imho, as long as you pick good profiles, (no need to pay for them, there are plenty of great ones on the Tonex website) it is far better than many other amp and cab simulators/ profilers I’ve tried (including Helix, Headrush, Boss etc). I have it in my guitar case along with a mini delay pedal as a spare rig and an occasional fly rig. Highly recommended.
