I have just bought the SM58 and have many years experience of using different microphones. I have given it 4 stars rather than 5 as the Samson Q7 is a lot cheaper and I can see very little difference in the sound and quality. There is 2 years warranty with Shure.

SM58 mag niet ontbreken in de microfoon koffer van een geluidsman.
Een stevige goed klinkende microfoon.
Ik gebruik ze voor lead vocals, backing vocals.
Saxofoons, trompet, trombone, voor een gitaarversterker.
Bij vocals klinkt het meteen lekker, de zang ligt meteen lekker in de mix.
Ik kom regelmatig saxofonisten tegen die eigenlijk alleen maar een 58 willen. Ze weten dan precies hoe ze klinken en wat ze ‘uit kunnen halen’ met deze microfoon.
Ook is deze microfoon zeer stil vwb hand geluiden wanneer met de hand vastgehouden. Kan goed overweg met hele luide geluidsbronnen.
En de 58 is zeer ongevoelig voor rondzingen bij gebruik van vloer monitoren.
Kortom , je kan niet om deze microfoon heen op een live podium.
