General

At just 3 inches deep, the 20 inch DW Drums Design Series Pancake Bass Drum might be the thinnest kick you ever saw, but the sound is surprisingly thick. The ultra-slim shell has been made from North American maple and supports a tasty, punching kick sound with plenty of low-end. As well as being thinner than virtually any other bass drum in the game, the Pancake is also the most portable. Easily load this drum into the boot of your average hatchback or simply lug it under one arm and, while it won't necessarily support gigs in bigger venues, it's ideal for smaller clubs and pubs. The Pancake is tunable, comes complete with a pair of bass drum legs, and is even more stable than a full sized model, since your kick pedal can be securely screwed on.
