General
The Filter Twin by Aguilar uses two identical filters with contrary sweep, one goes up like a wah pedal and the other goes down. That lets you create the classic '70s funk sounds or rather complete, new and unique filter sounds. The two simultaneous filters of the Aguilar Filter Twin give you a more organic, almost vocal quality and allow you to make all sorts of new expressive sounds you won't be able to draw from other effect pedals.
Controlling the Aguilar Filter Twin
With its four intuitive knobs, you can create a wide range of unique filter effects. The blend knob, for instance, allows you to pan between filters and mix just how much up and down you want to hear in the end. Additionally, the threshold knob allows you to adjust the Filter Twin's response to your playing style. Further still, there's a separate velocity control for both filters, which determine the speed of the sweep. Numerous possibilities, as you can tell!
Renewed, smaller housing
Aguilar downsized their pedals by removing their protruding edges (see the video), allowing you to use any size angled jack plug. What's more, thanks to its new flat bottom it is now easier than ever before to mount the pedal to your pedalboard.
