Following the 500 Watt version, Fender close their line of the classic and ever popular amp series with the Bassman 800 for those who want to take it a step further while retaining legendary sound. This hybrid amplifier is loaded with a transistor power amp and the preamplifier is supported by two 12AX7 tubes. Warm, potent and thundering bass sound is delivered by this timelessly styled Fender amp.
The Bassman 800 Amp Head: From Vintage to All-Out Overdrive
In terms of looks, this amp has the same layout and features as the rest of the series, staying faithful to the original. The close-to-indestructible seven layer, solid meranti housing is cloaked in the (still) popular black tolex while the silver-coloured grille finishes the unmistakably classic face. The vintage tonal range offered by the first channel carries the classic vibe through while the second Overdrive channel offers up a more modern and robust edge and opens up this 800 Watt amp to a little more versatility.
XLR Output, Tone Control, XLR Line Output and Effects Loop
To fine tune the channels without having to compromise, both come with a dedicated bank of tone controls while the XLR output removes the need for a DI box whether on stage or in the studio. The two channels can also be remotely toggled using the included footswitch. Choose between pre and post signal output and, if any annoying ground loop hum occurs, simply flip the fitted ground lift switch. A mono effects loop is included for seamlessly hooking up a stompbox or ten with the tuning pedal getting its very own tuner output. To finish, the speaker outputs are solid SpeakOn sockets.

Im all for full on tube heads, but this thing really does the job with no effort, you can crank up the 2 pre-amp tubes for a full on overloaded tube sound with none of the backbreaking weight, no biasing, no worries, just a great sounding lightweight bass rigg.

Mooie korting en door de kortingscode die ik had ontvangen werd deze set zeer aantrekkelijk.
Helaas stonden de top en kast beide in nalevering. Top inmiddels geleverd en ben in afwachting van de kast. Wordt netjes op de hoogte gehouden over de veranderende status van de levering.
Kan niet wachten tot de set compleetheid en ik kan spelen.
