Peavey Headliner 1000 Bass Amplifier Head

General

The Peavey Headliner 1000 is a powerful bass amplifier top with a power capacity of no less than 1,000 beefy Watts. This head comes with extensive tone, gain and volume controls and an in-built, one-knob compressor. A headphone socket is fitted specially for practising into the wee, small hours and, when engaged, mutes the output signal automatically.

The Headliner 1000 Tone Controls

Besides a standard pair of bass and treble pots, the Headliner 1000 gives you control over a seven-band equaliser. Each band has a boost/cut of 15dB for the most accurate tonal tweaking possible. Besides this, the colour of your sound can be altered using the bright, contour and crunch switches. The crunch activates a vintage tube-overdrive to add a delicious, raw edge.

Connectors

You can jack in your bass cabinet via the parallel-connected standard jack socket or lockable speaker output round the back. Next to this, you get a footswitch socket (to control the crunch and compression), an FX-loop and a DI-ouput that bypasses the tone circuit for studio sessions and smaller gigs.
