Markbass Little Mark Gen Z H0 1000 top-of-the-range bass guitar amplifier

General

With the Markbass Little Mark Gen Z H0 1000, you’ll spend less time fiddling with settings and more time playing your bass parts. This compact bass guitar amp head combines a solid-state preamp with an MPT power amp that delivers 1,000 watts into 4 ohms or 600 watts into 8 ohms. This gives you plenty of power for your bass cabinet, whilst the head itself weighs just 2.6 kilograms. The clearly laid-out control panel also makes this amplifier a pleasure to use. No need to search through a multitude of controls – you can quickly find a useful starting point for your sound. Handy during a soundcheck, a rehearsal or when you want to work out a new bass idea.

Twelve tones at your fingertips

The central TONE knob gives you access to twelve EQ presets, divided into four Flat, four Modern and four Vintage settings. Choose a pure starting point, a modern character with rolled-off mid-range, or a warm, classic bass tone. The concept behind this control system comes from the world of software plug-ins: select a preset and carry on playing straight away. You can then fine-tune the signal and tone further using the five analogue controls for Gain, Low, High, Volume and DI Level. Another practical feature is the illuminated Smart Glow input. This indicates that the amplifier is switched on and flashes when the input signal starts to clip, allowing you to make adjustments in good time.

Connections for stage and practice sessions

This top-of-the-range Markbass comes in handy off stage too. You can connect an external audio source via the aux input to play along with backing tracks, whilst the headphone output is ideal for quiet practice sessions. For connection to recording equipment or a mixing desk, there is an XLR line output with its own level control, pre/post-EQ switch and ground lift. You can connect your effects via the FX send and return. The amplifier also features a boost function. Would you like to be able to mute the amp or switch the boost on and off whilst playing without having to reach for the top? To do this, you can connect an optional footswitch; this is not included as standard.
