General

With every right to claim the head of the Orange fleet, the AD200 bass amp head wraps up all of the functions and flexibility than any modern bassist could ever want. The team at Orange have designed the AD200 from the top down following the principle that the best sound always comes from the shortest signal path between instrument and speaker. In other words: you're looking at the power of simplicity. As such, a separate input for active and passive models has been fitted alongside a Clean Switch, so that classic Orange-flavoured high-gain fuzz sound can be dialled right back as needed. This is a Class A/B amplifier head, so it comes kitted out with a set of four KT88 power-amp valves that deliver the deep and dynamic bass frequencies and warm and rich mids you would only expect - or demand - and all of it comes wrapped in a classic bright orange cabinet complete with 'pics-only' control panel. Built in the UK.

Na een lange zoektocht van verschillende basversterkers ben ik gestrand bij dit monster. Ik kon niet wennen aan transistor versterkers dus ik wilde perse weer een buizenbak. En dit is dè buizenbak.
Het kost een paar centen en ja, hij weegt flink. Is het het waard?
Ik vind van wel.
Je koopt niet alleen een goede versterker maar eigenlijk het geluid wat je altijd al wilde en meer.
Hoe simpel de amp ook lijkt. Dit ding kan alles. Van zwoele dikke bass tot aan super punchy punk. Alles krijg je uit dit ding. Maar waar hij echt schittert is dikke vuige stoner rock en doom. Deze amp vreet pedalen als ontbijt en alles klinkt super crisp. Zelfs fuzz klinkt ongelofelijk strak en warm. Dit is verreweg de beste basamp die ik persoonlijk heb en heb gehoord.
Ik speel door een 2x12 mesa cabinet en de combinatie is killer.
Hij is niet licht, hij is niet goedkoop maar deze doe je niet meer weg. Wel even Foh inlichten dat je met dit ding komt🤘🏻😎

Très grosse différence avec l ancien modèle les kt 88 font toute la différence ainsi que le petit switch
