General

For many purposes, a regular SKB case from the 1SKB series will do nicely. They are virtually indestructible, after all, and have all the features you need. If you own an instrument that's worth an incredible amount of money, however, or has immense sentimental value, you might want to step up your game and have a look at the 3i series, which consists of waterproof models. Take the SKB 3i-5041-44, for instance, a waterproof bass guitar case suitable for J-style and P-style models. Like any SKB case, it's as sturdy as can be, has a comfortable handle and noiseless wheels, and features automatic ambient pressure equalisation. In short, if you're looking for the absolute best for your J/P bass guitar, this high-grade case is the only answer.

Get on a plane with the SKB 3i-5014-44

Do your musical ventures require you travel abroad every now and again? In that case, the SKB 3i-5041-44 case has additional appeal for you. If you travel by plane, your luggage is usually thoroughly checked at the airport. In order to make flying safe, airline personnel are required to be strict, and if a regular case cannot easily be opened for inspection, they will use force. In that case, your luggage may sustain damage. With this SKB case, however, you have nothing to worry about. It's equipped with TSA-approved locking latches, which can be opened by airline security by means of a master key. That way, the contents can be inspected, while your case is left unharmed.
