General
The Boston VJB-62-NBK can be a solid upgrade if you're unhappy with the voicing of your current J-bass neck pickup. Labelled the Vintage 62 model, this split-coil pickup can also be used as part of a custom build; it features double the number of poles to counter unwanted hum and buzz and offers a powerful sound shaped by an Alnico 5 magnet and waxed formvar coils with a 7.5K DC resistance.
