Have you always wanted to create synthesizer sounds with your bass guitar? With this Roland GK-3B bass guitar synthesizer pickup you can! This MIDI pickup, also known as a hexaphonic pickup, detects the vibrations of your strings and converts them into a signal that can be read by the VB-99 V-Guitar system for bass or GR-55 synthesizer. This signal then converts your bass guitar playing into a sound of your choosing. This means you can play the violin, the piano or even the saxophone by means of your bass guitar. Once you start using this system, playing your bass will never be the same.

Installing the GK-3B pickup
The 13-pin MIDI pickup can be installed beneath the strings of your bass guitar. There is no need to drill holes into the body of your instrument. Double-sided tape keeps the pickup securely in place, leaving the body intact. The controller is installed at the front of your bass guitar and is separated from the body by a foam spacer, which can also be attached with tape. The mounting plate at the rear can be installed in the same way. As such, both controller and mounting plate can be installed on your instrument, without damaging the lacquer.
