The MXR M280 Vintage Bass Octave pedal blends the much-loved warmth of analogue sub with ultra modern tracking and a nice layer of extra headroom, and is built for the bassist seeking an organic, wide-ranging octaver that won't hog too much precious pedalboard space. Dive down by a full octave or really plumb the depths by lowering the pitch by two octaves and tweak either setting using one of the dedicated pots, before striking the preferred balance between the wet and dry signals using the Dry pot.

The M280 Vintage Bass Octave: Mid-Boost and Headroom

When a little more clarity and definition is needed, simply hit the little Mid switch and boost the mid, 800Hz frequency range by +6dB. If that's not enough, you can adjust the internal trim-pot to bring it up to a good +13dB. The M280 also comes equipped with Constant Headroom Technology. This is a special circuit that enables 18V internal operation while running on nothing more than a standard 9V power supply (not included). The result is insanely clear and accommodating headroom so you can pull the deepest possible tone out of your instrument without fear of limitations.
