General

The original 105Q Cry Baby Wah has been one of the most popular wah pedals of all time among bassists. This compact version of the same pedal may just knock it off its throne, however. The Dunlop CBM105Q, a.k.a the Cry Baby Mini Bass Wah, sounds just as deep and expressive as the original Cry Baby, but is about half as big. It's also remarkably lightweight due to its aluminium housing, which is an advantage to bass players who don't want to lug around heavy gear, or whose pedal boards have limited space.

A wah that's worth it

Dunlop's Cry Baby Mini Bass Wah doesn't take up much more room than a Phase 90 and has the exact same overpowering sound as the original Cry Baby Wah. Also unchanged in this compact model is the preservation of lower frequencies in the sound of your bass or guitar while in drop tuning. In fact, it sooner enhances it. You can adjust your sound to perfection by using the familiar volume and Q controls. The latter is designed to lay emphasis on either high or low overtones.

Ik ben niet helemaal tevreden en ga hem omruilen voor een MXR Envelope Filter.
