Not only does the Apple Battery Charger extend the lifespan and performance of your batteries while they're charging, but it also reduces energy costs. Thanks to the intelligent energy manager, it uses less power once the batteries are fully charged, making it much more earth-friendly than your average charger. It can charge one or two NiMH batteries simultaneously.
The batteries
Each battery charger comes with six powerful AA NiMH batteries: two for your wireless keyboard, two for your trackpad or wireless mouse, and two spares so you always have fully charged batteries on hand. The batteries have an impressive lifespan of up to ten years, with the additional advantage that you won't need to buy toxic, polluting, one-time-use alkaline batteries any more! Thanks to the low discharge rate the batteries stay charged too, so you always have a couple of spares.
