Pearl offer a huge range of percussion instruments that come under the name Primero. These instruments are primarily aimed at novice players but their quality also makes them suitable for more advanced percussionists. Pearl's PWB-67.511 Primero Bongo Set consists of a 6-inch macho bongo and a 7-inch hembra bongo. They both have shells made of Thai Oak with a natural lacquer and are set into robust steel hardware that has been given a black powder coating. Four bolts on each bongo maintain the tension and each one has a real cow skin drumhead for a warm sound.
