With the EarthQuaker Devices Utility Buffer/Preamp, you can counter signal loss when using long cables or running a bunch of true bypass pedals. Boasting a high input impedance and a low output impedance, this buffer pedal restores signal integrity while adding the extra sonic depth of a powerful bass register boost. While it's generally recommended to place your buffer pedal at the start of the signal chain, the EQD Buffer/Preamp actually gives you optimum results when it's placed at the end. Of course, you're free to experiment with the place in the chain — just make sure that you always stick your fuzz boxes BEFORE this pedal and that your electric guitar is directly jacked into your fuzz stompbox. This'll give you the best results.
