The Spark Booster is the fourth and final pedal from the compact Overdrive/Distortion series of pedals from TC Electronic. This stompbox is not just built to boost, it's built to add a layer of compression to your sound and pull a fuller, warmer, more punching tone from your pickups. The Spark Booster can be used to push your amp harder and thicken its delivery for extra gain and distortion or as a pure volume boost for that extra kick during solos or rhythm finger-picking that might otherwise get lost in the mix.

Spark Booster: Easy Going Effect with True-Bypass

The controls that line the face of the Spark Booster are easy going, simple and intuitive. The Level pot can push your guitar signal as far as +26dB without colouring it in with any unwanted crunch while the Gain pot, however, is used to dial in mild compression with a pinch of drive around the edges. Since the Spark Booster is fitted with active tone controls, the Bass and Treble pots can filter out as well as boost the low and high frequencies. Also, as found with every TC Electronics pedal, this box has a true-bypass circuit so you get no tonal or signal loss when the pedal is switched off.

Unique Clean / Fat / Mid Function

A function unique to the Spark Booster is the mini three-way switch giving you the choice of Clean, Fat and Mid settings. This is where this little TC Electronic innovator leaves other boosters behind. In Clean, you simply get a pure boost of all the frequencies with absolutely minimal drive. In Mid mode, you naturally get a boost of your mid-frequencies, but with a little extra gain to push your sound out of the mix while the Fat setting very literally fattens your tone, adds more overdrive, punch and life.
