The Samson CM11BW is a boundary microphone with an omnidirectional pickup pattern, which makes it ideal for recording meetings, group conversations and band rehearsals. It can be fastened to tables, walls and ceilings, or positioned on stage.
This particular version of the CM11BW has a white finish, a reinforced, steel grille and is provided with a special neoprene rubber mat that eliminates handling noise. As a boundary microphone also picks up the first reflection off of the surface on which the mic is placed, the signal is heightened by 6 dB. Boundary microphones are especially practical for meetings, musicals and amplifying large groups (choirs) etc. The CM11BW is an omnidirectional condenser that picks up all the sound around the microphone.
