General

With their NX series, Yamaha offers a number of outstanding acoustic instruments like this NCX700C electro-acoustic Spanish guitar. Thanks to its classic construction and scale length, it lends itself well to flamenco and latin, and with such refined built-in electronics it also makes a great guitar for jazz, pop and rock. At the moment, artists such as Lee Ritenour and Paulo Nutini use guitars from this series, which certainly vouches for its quality and musicality. If you're used to playing on a western guitar or an electric solid-body, you don't need to worry, because the cutaway allows you to play the entire length of the neck without ergonomic discomfort.

NCX700C: C for Cedar

This beautiful Yamaha guitar can put "solid top" at the top of its list of advantages. Solid wood is really the best when it comes to resonant characteristics, and cedar is known for providing a warm, rich sound with good direct response. Nato, commonly referred to as "eastern mahogany" for its mahogany-like looks, was used for the sides, back and neck. The neck is equipped with rosewood, and the string nut has a width of 52 millimetres, which is pretty average for a classical guitar. Finally, the body depth is a maximum of 10 centimetres.

Electronics

The NCX700C is equipped with the System61 module and an ART two-way pickup system. Two contact piezos are directly mounted to the top of the guitar for optimal resonance and un-filtered sound. The preamplifier offers a clear dynamic output so your expression comes through when you play amplified. Knobs for bass and treble will help you find the perfect balance between both pickups, and with the built-in tuner with LED display, you can keep your guitar sounding its best anywhere. All in all, this guitar is a beautiful, unique combination of nylon strings, a classical appearance and construction, versatile settings and supply playability thanks to the cutaway and electronics.
