The Z Nature is the result of Alhambra's desire to design and produce a classical guitar as cheaply as possible, yet still meet the famous Spanish brand's exacting standards. That desire led to a completely new production process using CNC technology that helped to keep the quality high and the costs down. The Z Nature has a thin satin-gloss lacquer that lets the wood breathe and gives this instrument its natural, warm sound. A Spanish nylon-string classical guitar of this quality has rarely been so attractively priced.

Alhambra Z Nature: balanced sound

For the excellent combination of warmth and brightness, Alhambra chose solid cedar for the top and sapele for the back and sides of this instrument. Sapele has similar characteristics to mahogany with slightly more emphasis on the high tones. Sapele grows quickly and is therefore a sustainable alternative to mahogany, which often comes from West Africa. The cedar top adds sufficient bass for a full, well-balanced tone that is suitable for playing music of all styles.

The Alhambra brand

The modern factory where Alhambra guitars first see the light of day is located in Muro de Alcoy, a picturesque Spanish town not far from Valencia. Since the early 1960s, customer feedback has been an important source of inspiration for the Alhambra guitar builders, who use it to enhance their instruments. Additionally, they exchange knowledge and experience with a number of master builders from Madrid. Alhambra honours the traditional Spanish way of building guitars, but also uses the latest woodworking equipment. No wonder the company is regarded as one of the top manufacturers of nylon-string guitars, both in Spain and in the rest of the world.
