General
Since the Arc of Trajan can be found in Mérida in Spain, the regal Merida Extrema T-5 classical guitar takes direct inspiration from the Emperor Trajan himself, and has been made according to Spanish guitar building tradition and finished in modern style. Ruler of Rome from 98 to 117BC, history has deemed Trajan's time as emperor a dominantly successful period, and that's exactly the kind of sound that this model shapes. Here, a cedar soundboard has been combined with a mahogany back and matching sides to deliver a big and warm foundation framed by excellent projection. In short, the Merida Guitars T-5 bears just as much sonic impact as it does visual.
