General
The Ortega R131SN-WR is a classical guitar for guitarists with relatively small hands or short fingers. After all, SN stands for slim neck. Thus, this Ortega has a narrow nut of 48 millimetres wide, instead of the more traditional 52 millimetres. The result is extra-high playing comfort. In addition, both the body and neck on the Ortega guitar are finished with a silky gloss lacquer, making the neck feel nice and fast. Comes complete with Deluxe nylon gig bag.
Eye for detail
Besides the narrow neck, there is another striking detail. For instance, Ortega has equipped the R131SN with a neck pin, which allows you to adjust the neck in both directions. In addition, you can count on a familiar recipe of tonewoods for an authentic sound. The top is made of solid cedar and the sides and back of mahogany. The result is a rich and warm sound and a very neatly finished classical guitar.

Als beginner is deze gitaar behoorlijk over de top natuurlijk. Het maakt me echter niet minder blij om 'm te mogen gebruiken. Alles klopt eraan, ook voor een beginner. Het geluid klinkt warm en helder tegelijk. Nadat ik eerst met een western gitaar was begonnen en last kreeg van mijn vingers, ben ik op advies van iemand die het kan weten, naar een klassiek akoestische gitaar gaan kijken. De Ortega R131SN-WR was toevallig in de aanbieding bij Bax Music. Daar heb ik tot nu toe geen spijt van. De hals is korter en breder dan die van een western gitaar, waardoor ik overal beter bij kan. Drie snaren zijn geheel van nylon en dat geeft wat minder irritatie als je wat langer oefent. Voor wat de lange termijn betreft kan ik het niet beoordelen, maar ik ben ervan overtuigd nog veel plezier te beleven aan deze gitaar.
