General

While it does boast an all-solid construction and traditional, concert-grade build details, the Cordoba C9 Crossover Luthier classical guitar has been fully optimised for comfort, and to make the transition for electric guitarists that bit smoother. The solid cedar wood soundboard combines with solid mahogany sides and a matching back to boost the resonance and sustain, while warming up and deepening the acoustic sound when compared to laminated models - and that's just the start. The neck has been slimmed right down, giving this guitar a 48mm-wide nut, and the fretboard has been lightly rounded by a 16 inch radius for a more electric-guitar-style feel. The Cordoba C9 Crossover Luthier has been built by hand, finished with refined detailing, and comes bundled up with a Cordoba Polyfoam hardshell case.

Ik heb korte, gemiddeld brede vingers waardoor de halsbreedte van een klassieke gitaar voor mij niet geschikt is. Ik had daarom een flamenco gitaar met een smallere hals (50mm) en houten stempinnen met een fantastisch mooi, warm geluid. Ik heb hier jaren geleden 6 jaar klassiek op gespeeld. Eenmaal met pensioen wilde ik weer opnieuw gitaar spelen, maar nu op een gitaar die ik makkelijker kon stemmen. Ik ben zeer tevreden over deze Cordoba C9 crossover. De hals is zelfs smaller dan ik gewend was, hij is makkelijker te stemmen en vooral stemvast. Ook bij warm weer! Het geluid is ook veel beter en de balans is goed, maar iets anders. De hoge tonen komen wat duidelijker door. Hij reageert vlot, soepel en is goed in variaties in volume en expressie. Ben benieuwd wat hij doet, wanneer hij ingespeeld is.

Prachtige gitaar, en wat een klank en sustain! Hij speelt gemakkelijk en ziet er modern uit met de cordoba roset en de zilverkleurige stemschroeven.
