General

The LaPaz 002 1/2 is an excellent option for young guitarist who wants to get acquainted with the classical guitar in an economical way. This acoustic guitar features nylon strings. This type of string contributes to a pleasant playing experience, as they feel a lot softer than the steel-stringed variety. This is an excellent half sized classical guitar. I'm a guitarist and so I know what to look for. It tunes correctly, has reasonable action, the intonation is the best I've ever seen on a guitar and the tone is very pleasant. A tip for those new to guitars, all guitars need tuning when first received (this is easy) and then there is a breaking in period where re-tuning is needed on many occasions as the strings stretch and get used to their new tension. This is normal and the LaPaz 002 is no exception.

Overall, for the money this is a great guitar and my seven year old really likes it.
