With the Fender The Bends Compressor V2, you can control the dynamics of your guitar or bass without losing the feel of your playing. This analogue effects pedal combines a low-noise compression circuit with an independently switchable, ultra-clean boost. Thanks to its unique application of OTA technology, the compressor responds smoothly and naturally to your playing. Loud and soft passages are brought closer together, whilst your notes gain more sustain and body. Are you looking for a tight, modern sound or perhaps some vintage warmth? With the Vintage switch on the rear, you can change the character from precise and clear to smoothly coloured compression with a touch of natural saturation.

Compression that preserves your own dynamics

You don’t need to be a compression expert to fine-tune your sound. The Input control lets you set the input level that triggers the compression. The Attack switch offers three speeds, and the Release control lets you set how the compression releases. The compression LED indicates when the circuit is engaged. You can then use the Blend control to mix in your unprocessed signal, ensuring the natural dynamics of your guitar or bass remain audible. Is your sound lacking a bit of sparkle? The active Tone control can boost or cut high frequencies and features a distinct mid-position. This allows you to easily balance the tone and playing feel.

A boost before or after your compressor

The independent boost makes this guitar and bass pedal exceptionally versatile. Use the Comp Pre/Post switch to choose the internal order of both effects. Place the boost before the compressor for long-lasting, Nashville-style sustain, or after it to boost the output level for a solo. Using the Multiswitch function on the rear panel, you can operate the footswitches either in latch mode with a single tap or in momentary mode by holding them down. You can also choose between true and buffered bypass. If the power supply fails, a relay automatically switches to bypass. The aqua-coloured aluminium casing completes the package; the required 9V adapter with a negative centre pin is not included.
