This Taurus is a versatile compressor that is very easy to use. As the Tux MK2 uses an optical system, it sounds very transparent. It is a flexible compressor with extensively editable sound dynamics. This Tux was specifically designed to work without adding any sounds. Additionally, it doesn't alter the original tone of your guitar or bass guitar in any way.
Taurus Tux MK2: from very pure to rugged and full
This second version of the Tux has two very different compression versions: Solid and Tube. Solid offers a very pure clean sound that leaves the dynamics of your playing as they were, while Tube produces a full sound with proper compression, like an authentic tube compressor would. They allow you to produce modern as well as traditional bass sounds with the Tux MK2. Moreover, this Taurus is a True Bypass pedal, so when it's off, your sound isn't affected in any way.
Taurus Dexter MK2: compact and clever
The Taurus Dexter MK2 also does away with the last bit of criticism, as the previous model was rather big. The MK2 is 2.5 centimetres smaller than its predecessor, so it takes up less space on your pedal board. What's more, this pedal features Polarity Auto Detection, so that you can use it with power adapters from 9 to 12 volts without worrying about their polarity. As high-quality a pedal as the original Taurus Dexter was, the MK2 is even better and more user friendly.

The only others that come close are The Diamond Bass Comp, Whirlwind OC & The FEA Labs Comp.
This compressor is so smooth and punchy with a lot of control features that are not available on the other compressors.
For the price and features, The Taurus Tux MK2 simply cannot be beaten!

Même avec des réglages extrêmes (ça pompe sévère quand même,mais ça a aussi son effet), le son est toujours exploitable.
Pas souffle avec des réglages "raisonnables". Transparente...
Pour le moment, je n'ai pas trouvé à mon goût la position du switch sur "Tube", lui préférant la position "Solid".
Je ne l'ai que depuis quelques jours. A peaufiner donc...
C'est une bonne affaire dans le sens où la version précédente (Silver line) qui était déjà très bien est quasiment identique à cette version (White line).
Il n'y a que le switch qui est différent. La fabrication et les composant sont identiques entre la Silver et la White d'après ce qui est dit sur le site de Taurus.
La Silver Line est plus chère, plus imposante et plus lourde, mais elle est fournie avec un adaptateur de 12v.
En revanche pour cette dernière version, il n'y a pas d'adaptateur fourni, mais elle acceptera n'importe quel transfo type Boss de 9v (pouvant aller jusqu'à 12v) et s'adaptera à la polarité du cordon d'alimentation que vous lui raccorderez. (c.a.d le moins en position centrale et le plus en position externe ou inversement)
A ce prix-là c'est difficile faire mieux.

Het apparaat komt zonder adapter, gezien ik universele adapter thuis heb liggen die ook 12v kan leveren heb ik de compressor op 12v lopen wat het geluid ten goede komt.
