With the Planet ZIZP16C, Zildjian drop a crash cymbal that's as close to the "perfect cymbal for beginners" as cymbals get. Besides superb value for money, this traditional crash offers bright, mix-cutting sound and, while it's definitely most on the money in pop and rock, it can easily serve a more all-round purpose too.
