General

With their A Custom box set, Zildjian offers a classic, hand-chosen cymbal set. Zildjian has been using secret alloys for their cymbals since 1626, and has passed their best-kept secret down from generation to generation. The A Custom series gets its name from the founder of the family business who lived at the court of the sultan, Avedis, and has been designed in collaboration with Vinnie Calaiuta.

A Custom

These light-to-medium-weight A Custom cymbals get their clear, sparkling sound from the rotating hammer technique used to chape them and their striking, glossy finish. The 14-inch hi-hat produces a light, sparkling yet subtle sound and both crash cymbals have quick response time with a transparency rich in warm undertones. Add the defined, 20-inch ride, which has outstanding sound dispersion to cut perfectly through the mix and you have an A Custom box set that adds shimmering brightness to the sound of your kit, with quick response. Ideal for all modern styles of playing.
