General
If you're working with a 16 inch tom that doesn't quite bring enough attack or responds with too much resonance, simply thicken up the sound with the made-for-purposes Rohema MuffBites damping mat. This mat covers just one third of the batter head and efficiently cleans up the sound of overtones while pulling back the resonance, immediately fattening up your tom's response. Basically, by adding a MuffBite, you gain that sought-after '70s style drum sound. The mat is made from hard-wearing corduroy edged in black felt and comes with three metal clamps so it can be secured to the rim of your drum.
