The damper pad itself is made of authentic leather from Arizona and has a thickness of between 1.5 mm and 2 mm. As it is a natural product, this sometimes deviates, but this does not affect its performance. The pad itself cannot bend, warp or stick to your skin. The damper pad moves dynamically with the sound waves and jumps up and down a bit, so to speak: this is exactly what you want! The pad can be folded 4 ways, to have more options in terms of damping. The pad has an overall length of about 8 inches (approx. 25.4 cm), is suitable for medium to high damping and moulds nicely with the tension edge of the kettle.
