Live 9 Intro: sound collection and instruments
Ableton Live 9 Intro offers you a considerable amount of digital tools to give shape to your musical inspiration. At your disposal are three awesome-sounding instruments: Drum Rack, Impulse and Simpler. The elaborate, 4GB sound library has more than 700 sounds, so you will always find one that suits your needs. 26 effects enable you to add the finishing touch to your tracks. Additionally, Ableton Live 9 Intro enables you to work with up to 8 scenes and offers 16 audio and MIDI tracks.

EQ Eight and Glue compressor
Thanks to the Glue compressor with adjustable attack and release time, all your tracks sound fantastic. Especially on drum tracks you are able to hear the benefits of this new compressor, which was developed in cooperation with Cytomic. Ableton have also put a lot of thought into the design of their versatile EQ Eight equaliser. The clear layout enables you to effortlessly fine-tune your tracks.

Wrote the following about Ableton Live 9 Intro (English) production software

Heb pakket nu week in huis. Effe goed zoeken hoe en wat, maar op youtube staan meer dan genoeg videos over ableton. Ook op facebook is er een besloten groep over ableton.

Uiteraard was de levering weer top!!!

Volgende gaat ook bij BAX besteld worden!!!

Ik heb nu Ableton Live 9 Intro bijna 2 weken in huis en het bevalt me prima. Op het eerste gezicht vond ik het er ingewikkeld uitzien maar uiteindelijk kan ik er goed mee uit de voeten. Op termijn ben ik van plan om de Suite versie te kopen. De zondag levering van Bax Shop was ook prima. Goede ervaring dus al met al.

Ableton is voor DAW's wat een tekstverwerker is voor een typemachine: de mogelijkheid om te expirimenteren zonder gebonden te zijn aan de volgorde in tijd of de noodzaak voor een basis idee.
Spui je ideeen, simpelweg in verschillende clips en speel mee met wat je al hebt gedaan in andere clips. Pas daarna hoef je te kiezen of iets beter aan het begin of ergens anders in je compositie past.
Past het helemaal niet? Gewoon bewaren en later in een nieuwe song verwerken.
Dit programma is perfect als je alleen muziek maakt en opneemt, digitaal en analoog.

Ook is het voor beginners (als ik) een groot voordeel dat al Ableton's eigen instrumenten en effecten er hetzelfde uitzien en bediend worden. Als je met deze hobby begint moet je al zo veel nieuwe dingen leren, dat dat in het begin een groot voordeel is.

De beperkingen waar de vorige recensent het over heeft gelden alleen voor de Intro versie. En als je die hebt gekocht krijg je forse korting als je wilt upgraden.
Kijk ook op de Ableton-site voor betaalbare en duurdere uitbreidingen van je instrumenten en effecten (Packs).

P.S. Als je nog een controler moet kopen kijk dan naar de Novation Launchkey serie, ik heb ernstige behoefte aan die 16 clip-start pads en ook de sliders met aan/uit knoppen er onder.

Wrote the following about Ableton Live 9 Intro (English) production software

Na jaren lang gewerkt te hebben met Fl Studio ben ik me gaan verdiepen in deze software. Je leert heel snel door de bijgevoegde lessen en het geeft muziek maken een nieuwe dimensie. Wel jammer dat je vrij beperkt effecten kan toepassen en beperkt aantal clips kunt gebruiken. Een dure grap maar zeker de moeite waard.
