The Mississippi Blues
Throughout the 1920s, the biggest river in all of America played a crucial role in the development of the Blues. Workers from up and down the Mississippi would regularly meet to play music and swap tricks, many of them with a harmonica in their back pocket; a standing appointment that has since become the tradition of the Mississippi Blues, and one that still revolves around this cheap and humble little instrument. As an ode to the timeless sound that was first born on the banks of the Mississippi, Hohner present the Big River Harp.

To make absolutely certain that this harmonica spits nothing but pure Blues-worthy sound, Hohner have fitted a stable and consistent ABS comb and a copper reed plate with twenty reeds. All of this is sealed up inside stainless steel covers that enhance playing comfort while ensuring outstanding projection. The Big River Harp is tuned in Eb to serve as the perfect crossharp for playing in Bb.
