Hohner's Marine Band is an instrument that has been used for over 120 years and is loved by professionals and starters alike. Hohner has made a small change with the Crossover, mainly affecting its timbre. Whereas the comb of the classic Marine Band was still made of pearwood, the Crossover has a comb made of bamboo; a type of wood that gives a bright sound. Although harmonicas were originally made almost entirely of this, it is not very common now. However, the bright accent goes well with the rest of the instrument. This model is tuned in Db major, a key suitable for playing in Ab major.

Compact design

The bamboo comb is the biggest difference from the original Marine band, as otherwise the instrument is almost identical to its predecessor. Make the 20 reeds sing the way you want, by blowing and sucking through the nicely rounded holes. Indeed, with the Crossover you have outstanding control over the volume, as the airtight design gives a quick response. The parts are easily taken apart by unscrewing a few screws. This makes maintenance of the harmonica easy. The automatically included case protects the Crossover and also does not take up much space.
