Hohner Marine Band Deluxe B harmonica

For more than 120 years, the Marine Band has been made by German specilalist Hohner. The instrument has remained popular all these years, and the authentic blues sound of this diatonic classic has become a staple of the blues scene. Needless to say, though, the design of an 1896 harmonica is outdated. With this Deluxe version, Hohner has replaced all outdated materials and concepts to improve playing comfort, but has retained what is essential to preserve the authentic sound. This model is tuned in B major, a key often used to play along in F-sharp major.

What's new?

To do full justice to the sound of the Marine Band, Hohner has improved all parts that affect it wherever possible. This starts already with the stainless steel covers, which are better designed to produce more volume. To ensure durability and airtightness, the overall construction has been improved. The sound of the Deluxe is a bit fuller and warmer and the instrument has a faster response. These characteristics are mainly created by the airtight design, machined reeds and triple-lacquered pearwood comb. To preserve the authentic sound of the Marine Band, Hohner has used as many of the same materials as possible. The appearance of the Deluxe has nothing to worry about, the engraved covers give that familiar look to the design. The Deluxe comes with a storage box to protect your harmonica from dust and wear.
