Working alongside Eric Gales, MXR drop the bomb that is the EG74 Raw Dawg Overdrive: built for firing off the kind of snarling American blues and rock riffs and licks that Gales is renowned for. The guts of this feisty overdrive are based on a fairly traditional circuit with the added MXR tweaks of a balanced mid-range and a sweet dose of extra gain. The result is a much more natural response when everything is opened all the way up. The simple tone controls give you the full power to personalise your drive, while the slim stompbox housing is both durable and will slot neatly onto any pedalboard.

Mooi overdrive pedaal in een lekker compact formaat. Geeft net wat meer bite in de klank als je bijvoorbeeld je solo wil inzetten. De oversturing is goed te beinvloeden door je volume regeling op de gitaar te gebruiken. Hierdoor kun je vrij eenvoudig tussen een redelijk cleane tone en het overstuurde geluid switchen zonder het pedal aan/uit te hoeven schakelen.
