With the ODD Box, Warm Audio introduce their version of the almost eponymous hard-clipping overdrive/distortion that legends like Eric Johnson, J. Mascis and Paul Gilbert love using.. This iconic pedal sounds like a tube amp turned up to eleven, but can also serve as a booster for your amp or pull an edge-of-breakup sound out of your clean channel. The built-in op-amp circuit gives you the same kind of saturation as a real tube amp, while the UK/US switch toggles between two classic power amp valve sounds (EL34 / 6L6). As you might expect, the ODD Box is built using nothing but high-quality, hand-selected resistors, condensers and transistors.

Na het zoeken op internet naar de beste overdrive, na tal van reviews en YouTube filmpjes, is mijn keuze gevallen op deze Warm Audio ODD. Eigenlijk een exacte copie van de iconische Fultone OCD versie 1.4 (die versie was ook de meest gezochte versie) die door talrijke bekende gitaristen werd gebruikt. Zelfs dezelfde electronische componenten worden gebruikt. Eerlijk gezegd, het klinkt top. Twee soorten overdrive, de aggressieve UK , of de meer roomerige US instelling. Zéér brede spectrum, van low naar high. Ik vind de klank weinig gecompreseerd en zeer transparant. Veranderd u clean amp in een marshall, of geeft nog meer drive aan uw clean canaal. Een must have op een pedalboard, zeer tevreden.
