General
Lots of overdrive pedal manufacturers claim to have captured the sound of a Marshall in a stompbox, but Xotic is one of the few who have really succeeded! Their SL drive is truly a 'Marshall in a box'. SL stands for 'Super Lead', one of the most coveted British amps ever made. What's more, the control panel features a clear layout and a comprehensive tone control.
Comprehensive tone control:
As well as three external controls, the pedal is equipped with four external dip switches. Use the first two to adjust the frequency range of the external tone control. Use switch number 3 to turn the high/mid cut on or off, and switch number 4 to add an additional 6dB boost. You end up with a delicious British overdrive that you can tweak to perfection.
