Next to the fact that both channels can be used independently, each channel offers up the choice between Distortion-based distortion or a powerfully clean boost as provided by the Super Hard-On. No matter your style, this stompbox is amazingly energy-efficient.
The Double Rock: Double Distortion and/or Boost
With the Z.Vex Double Rock, you can effortlessly double-boost your signal, multiply the distortion effect or combine boost and distortion at will. The Distortron sounds like a Marshall JTM45 amp turned up to 11, while the Super Hard-On boosts the signal with such transparency that no one will even realise there's a pedal at play. In Distortron Mode, the Subs control can be used to the dial in the bass, while the Tone control reigns in the trebles.
