General

If you've spent all those hours finding just the right tracks and weaving them into an immaculate set, you need a setup that's just as streamlined, professional and neat and free of little nests of cables. The LiteConsole XPRS is fitted with semi-translucent white panels and is designed to give your DJ setup or presentation that professional edge and, since, Paul Oakenfold was the direct inspiration for this model, you cannot get more pro. Set up this good-looking console quickly and easily then disassemble and fold down the frame and pack it into the included bag to load out after the show.

The LiteConsole XPRS in Practice

Of course, you don't have to be a DJ to use the LiteConsole. Museums and any public space or event that includes presentations or that needs an information point could well make use of this booth. The middle shelf of the console is 90cm high and can take a mixer or even a full Pioneer CDJ-2000 or whatever else might be needed, while the slightly tilted shelf above is fitted with a lip, so will happily take a laptop, CD-wallets, controllers ad etc. Below that, and 30cm from the ground, the third shelf is perfect for your amp, a strobe or other lighting fixture set to make the translucent white panels of the LiteConsole glow, adding even more visual dynamics to your show.

Customise

Since you have a white-panelled booth, you also have a fully-customisable DJ setup to which you could add colour or photos or a logo to the front and sides and, while you're at it, why not attach smaller lighting fixtures to the truss-style sides for a full, all-in-one show.

Wrote the following about LiteConsole XPRS Presentation and DJ Stand (White)

Na jaren een tevreden gebruiker van de Liteconsole Go geweest te zijn, was ik op zoek naar iets groter, want op de Go heb je toch al heel snel plaats te weinig. De XPRS is een heel stabiele en professionele dj booth die hoge ogen gooit. De afwerking in het wit geeft het een heel clean en tegelijk aandachts-opeisend uiterlijk. Het truss-materiaal en de scharnieren zijn onverwoestbaar. Het gebruiksgemak is enorm, het meubel staat in nog geen 5 minuten recht. Qua "compactheid in vervoer" en qua gewicht is het ook nog net binnen de perken. De meegeleverde zakken moet je zachtjes behandelen, want die gaan wel makkelijk stuk. Je kan er wel gewatteerde & degelijke zakken achteraf bij kopen, maar die zijn behoorlijk prijzig. De 3 legplanken bieden enorm veel mogelijkheden:

- Op de hoogste legplank kan je bijvoorbeeld een laptop en DMX-mengpaneel kwijt.

- Op de middelste legplank kan je een DJM en 2 CDJ's kwijt OF een grote midi-controller.

- Op de onderste legplank kan je bijvoorbeeld een versterker kwijt of belichting voorzien om je meubel uit te lichten.

Enige punten van kritiek handelen over de bouwkwaliteit van het plastic:

- De middelste legplank is verstevigd onderaan met aluminium draagbalken, maar jammer genoeg steunt de hele legplank & draagbalken wel op de blote plastic aan beide zijden. Bij de Liteconsole Go was er nog een extra aluminium profiel op gelast zodat het gewicht steunde op dat profiel en niet rechtstreeks op het plastic. Dat had hier zeker ook op moeten zitten (gezien je hier wellicht meer gewicht op zult zetten).

Uiteraard kan je dit wel even bij iemand erbij laten bijlassen, maar het had netter geweest dat dit vanuit Liteconsole zelf gebeurde.

- De bovenste legplank leunt wat door in het midden als je er iets zwaar op zet, ook hier hadden ze een (dun) balkje onder mogen voorzien ter versteviging.

"De prijs te hoog" hoor ik je denken? Voorlopig zijn er weinig tot geen professionele alternatieven aan een veel lagere prijs, dus deze booth is de prijs zeker en vast waard!
