Pioneer DJ DJC-XZ Flight Bag for XDJ-XZ
The outer shell feels solid and fits the XDJ-XZ in snuggly, although there's not enough room to fit the power cable around it.
The XDJ-XZ will, however, fit into the case when you've got the decksaver on top too.
I previously bought a Magma flight case and returned it, as this is way lighter and easier to transport, particularly if you're walking up and down stairs, especially with the shoulder strap.
A few things to note:
1) The shoulder strap (if you're using it) needs to be detached from one fixing each time in order open the case up fully, as one fixing is on the top half of the outer shell and the other is on the bottom (I appreciate this is a little tricky to visualise without a picture, but in essence, a potential design flaw that is a little frustrating).
2) When the XDJ-XZ unit is inside the case and all zipped up, the case will balance when propped up just on the bottom edge (like a briefcase, with the handle on the top edge), but leans at a slight angle, due to the seam attaching the two halves of the shell protruding. This could have been more stable with the addition of some rubber/plastic pads or feet on the bottom edge, either side of the seam, to distribute the weight better.
Overall a solid case for transporting the XDJ-XZ controller about and stopping it getting scuffed, although I'd probably go for a flight case if you were having to entrust the safety of the unit with a third party or genuinely having to take it on a flight.
