General
Denon DJ's MC4000 is a two-deck controller, specifically designed for Serato DJ software. It features two touch-activated jog wheels, and each deck has 8 hot cue triggers that allow you to control samples, effects and cues. The two-channel mixer boasts 100mm faders - quite unique for a controller - and you can really get creative with the four additional sample pads. Although the controller has been developed for Serato, it is also compatible with Virtual DJ and Traktor.

Audio Interface
Denon has equipped the MC4000 with a built-in audio interface, ensuring high-quality sound at all times. This studio-grade 24-bit/44.1kHz interface has two microphone inputs, so you can record your own samples and use them during sets, and there's an aux input for external devices like CD players besides two different sets of outputs: one for master, and one for booth.

Op het eerste gezicht oogt het zeer degelijk en solide. Het geheel zit in een stevige behuizing en ook de knopjes voelen soepel aan.
Ik heb er helaas nog niet heel veel mee kunnen spelen, maar genoeg om een mening te geven.
Pro's:
- Solide gebouwd
- Rubber knopjes voelen goed en soepel aan
- Redelijk aantal audio uitgangen
- Overzichtelijk en intuïtieve indeling
- Werkt met de meeste DJ software (Serato, Traktor V2, VDJ8)
- HPF/LPF filter.
- Goede geluidskwaliteit.
Cons:
- Overdreven veel aandacht besteed aan MIC mogelijkheden
- Ik mis een insta-kill voor de 3-band EQ.
- Helaas geen 2-kanaalsmixer
- Een EQ voor de AUX was leuk geweest.
- VU meter is beperkt.
Al met al ben ik tot nu toe zeer tevreden met het apparaat en in z'n prijsklasse (ten tijde van aankoop 369) ga je waarschijnlijk niks beters vinden.
Ik moet wel even wennen aan het gebruik van de "shift" knop i.c.m. extra toets functies maar dat zal vast wel goed moeten komen als ik er wat vaker mee gespeeld heb.

Knoppen voelen goed en zijn stevig. Ik gebruik hem zelf met virtual dj, heb er erg veel plezier mee!

samen met Serato werkt de controller vrijwel zoals behoren.
alles doet het prima en aansluiten was met de hulp van Bax-Shop goed in orde!
heb er veel plezier van en heb er geen spijt van!
