Want to spin tracks like a professional DJ? Or just need something that'll help you hone your basic skills? Hercules offers up the ultimate DJ learning tool in the form of the DJControl Inpulse 500. This two-deck USB DJ controller can be used with Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED DJ software.
The Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500: A Complete DJ Guru
The Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500 comes loaded with two large and precise jogwheels fitted with user-friendly rings, as well as a set of sixteen RGB back-lit pads. By providing a clear and well lit guidance system that gives excellent visual feedback, this controller is made to make learning to mix as easy as can be. The Filter/FX section is filled with the effect-based toys you can find in Serato DJ Lite and Djuced, and using the AUX FILTER control knob, you can add a filter effect to an external audio source like a smartphone or media player.
Built for Use
The DJControl Inpulse 500 comes encased in a solid housing and fitted with a metal backplate on the control panel. Rubber RGB pads are also included, and anti-slip fold-out feet are fitted to the base, so that the controller can be raised to a height of 8cm from the desktop, or dinner table, or wherever your studying your DJ-ing craft. Folding out the feet also creates a little space beneath the controller so that cables can be neatly run under it and the controller itself is kept safely away from any split drinks. As such, the Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500 has been considerately built for real-life use.

I am really pleased with the Hercules 500 DJ controller and I’m finding it really easy to use. The guide that came with it for the 7 day free DJ course really helped me get to know my way around the functions and got me off to a great start. It's a great mixer to start with if you're looking to have a play around. I use the Serato software but it’s great that you have the option to use Djuced also if you prefer that.
The effects are pretty cool also and when it lights up, it's even fun for my 8 year old to get involved. I've been enjoying the beat match function until I can get used to doing it manually, so you can start of really easily using this. The added extra feet on the bottom are useful for more stability. There is a good weight to it - light enough but also still feels expensive. The knobs are high quality when adjusting the controls and feels smooth, the cue buttons work well also.
All in all I am really happy I purchased the Hercules 500 DJ controller and recommend it for anyone starting out on their DJ journey.

Getwijfeld over de Inpulse 500 en de FLX4. De gekleurde pads en de positie van sommige knoppen heeft mij over de streep getrokken. Bijkomend voordeel was dat de Inpulse 500 ook iets goedkoper was.
De controller voelt stevig aan en heeft een professionele uitstraling, zeker voor deze prijsklasse. De jogwheels reageren heel precies en de faders lopen soepel . Ook de grootte van de controller heeft mij positief verrast!
De performance pads zijn responsief en bieden veel creatieve mogelijkheden, zoals hot cues, loops en effecten. Ik dacht eerst dat er geen midi-opties aanwezig gingen zijn, maar dat bleek wel zo te zijn, waardoor je je keys kan instellen naar je eigen voorkeuren.
Een betrouwbaar topproduct!

Eenvoudige en door mij goedgekeurde controller die qua prijs kwaliteit echt een aanrader is . Minpunt is dat je meer volume moet geven dan op de duurzame controllers die ik in het verleden had. Interessant is ook dat je van ongebalanceerd naar gebalanceerd kan gaan mits aankoop van een passieve DI box (ca 50€). Mvg
